This agreement will combine Rune Healthcare’s neuroscience development strategy with BDD’s proprietary OralogiK™ drug-delivery technology to develop four differentiated pharmaceutical products designed to address important needs in the treatment of psychiatric disorders

Rune Healthcare Limited (“Rune Healthcare”), a neuroscience-focused biotechnology and pharmaceutical development company, and BDD Pharma Ltd. (“BDD”) are pleased to announce a new licence agreement for pharmaceutical products in the field of psychiatric disorders.
The agreement brings together Rune Healthcare’s experience in identifying and developing differentiated neuroscience medicines with BDD’s proprietary OralogiK™ drug-delivery technology and specialist pharmaceutical development capabilities.
The programme will focus on developing new treatment options designed to address recognised limitations associated with existing psychiatric medicines, including opportunities to improve treatment convenience, tolerability and patient adherence.
Under the agreement, Rune Healthcare and BDD will work together on the pharmaceutical development of the products, with the objective of advancing the programmes towards clinical development and ultimately regulatory approval and commercialisation.
The programme forms part of Rune Healthcare’s wider strategy to develop differentiated and patient-focused treatments within neuroscience, particularly where established medicines can potentially be improved through innovative formulation and drug-delivery technologies.
